Maichau Vietnam Mountain cycling
This of trip covers a little over 170- 400 kilometers on well surfaced roads. The daily distances are not too long and the terrain is gentle so this trip suitable for most people, but it’s advisable to have a modicum of fitness to enjoy the riding! Fast cyclists can ride at their own pace, as detailed directions are available from the tour leader. Our route is designed to take us off the main roa, etc.)
Day1:HaNoi – Mai Chau (67 km) (Meal: L, D)Transfer to Hoa Binh. Start riding ,It’s a fascinating drive past many minority villages as we climb onto a higher plateau. We ride pass coffee and tea plantations before arriving in the Baixang for lunch. Afternoon continue cycling to MaiChau village.Over night home stay in Maichau of Thai minority people
Day 2: Mai Chau- MocChau. (+- 80km ) (Meal: B, L, D) After breakfast riding 16 km to Baixang then continue in the off road to MocChau withour car stand by. ( +-60 km off road, car track ), making this a day not to be forgotten. We cycle past rice fields. There are two hard climbs today the first starts after 17 km with a 3 km ascent but the second, and most challenging comes at the end of this stunning day, with an 15 km strength-sapping climb. We finish the day with a stunning descend on road to Moc Chau hotel.Dinner and overnight in Hotel
Day 3: Moc Chau- BaiXang- Hanoi (+- 65km ) (Meal: B, L)
We start riding from Hotel with 10 km from Moc Chau to HuaTat pass. Then we cycling down hill on the jeep track ( +- 45km) to Bai Xang, one of the most beautiful terrace rice field in Vietnam. After a biking and ride along a mix of dirt tracks and tarmac trails through Thai village and across rice paddies to BaiXang We have lunch and return to Hanoi by Car. Arrival Hanoi around 6 Pm, end of service.
